Long Island SEO: The Do's And Don'ts That Ebay Sellers Should Know

By Arthur Williams

With eBay being one of the premier ecommerce platforms on a global scale, it comes as no surprise that there are seemingly countless sellers on the site. Some can achieve greater awareness on the platform than others, though, and a good portion of this comes from Long Island SEO. Simply put, they are able to rank well on search engines. To obtain the greatest level of eBay success, here are a few do's & don'ts of SEO to know.

DO know that keywords play a major role. First and foremost, make sure that you conduct keyword research. The reason for this, according to the likes of www.fishbat.com, is that it will help you determine what you want your eBay page and its listings to rank for. Furthermore, these keywords should be used across titles, descriptions, and other text-heavy forms of content. Before long, you'll start to see your eBay lists improve from a visibility standpoint.

DON'T forget to narrow down searches. Ask yourself this question: when people shop for your products, what filters will they use? Which locations will they set in the sidebar? What is the price range that they will select? These are just a few examples of the specifics that your eBay listings would be built with. By including these, it'll become easier to rank, regardless of what you'd like to sell to the public.

DO optimize your listings from a mobile standpoint. Unless your listings are responsive, you can't expect to rank highly on search engines. For this reason, you must ensure that they are optimized, not only in terms of the text associated with your products but the images as well. If even one of these assets is failed to be optimized, it can stagnate your rankings. Anyone that's familiar with SEO will tell you the same.

DON'T let yourself become limited to eBay. While this platform has many services and capabilities you can take advantage of, having your eBay storefront rank can be done through other methods. For the sake of argument, let's say that you have a blog. You can do this as a platform to discuss topics related to your products, whether they're electronics, books, or what have you. If nothing else, you can use this platform to generate links, which will improve SEO further.
