Geometric Beeswax Candles Make Nice Gifts

By George Price

Although not everyone likes to decorate the interior of their home, they may see that a few simple trinkets can change the look. First of all, it helps to keep spaces clean and use storage compartments to conceal possible clutter. There are some people who add small things for visual appeal but it gets lost amongst the junk that is on shelves and other surfaces. Things like geometric beeswax candles are objects that not only look nice but serve a purpose.

When it comes to storage, the average home dweller can have a hard time distinguishing what should be left out and items that can be stored away. Things that look nice, whether they be pictures, plants, or even standalone storage items should not sit in disarray. Necessary items, like places to put keys or store remote controls, can get lost when there is too much going on.

The great thing about beeswax is that it can burn for hours without dangerous smoke. A lot of people gave up on paraffin versions because the soot produced contaminated the air. While beeswax is a little more expensive, it is a better choice for the user who likes to burn for a long time, especially in spaces that may lack proper ventilation like the bathroom.

Decorative candles are great because they can be matched to certain accessories or furnishings in a particular room or space. Some people who enjoy decorating may attempt to match the curtains or area rug with a detailed color found in a sofa or loveseat. Although some amateurs may go as far as consulting a color chart, sometimes just going with personal preference is enough.

Otherwise, some individuals would rather keep their spaces minimal with neutral colors and keep a pair of pillar candles on opposite sides of a wall or other space. This creates sort of a balance between objects unless a person prefers an asymmetrical look. If these are to be lit at some point, it may be wise to ensure that there is ample shelf space so they will remain secure.

Choosing candles in bright colors is one way to liven up drab spaces. Although the majority come in a golden or pale yellowish brown shade, more candlemakers are trying out colors that compliment ocean themes or primary hues like red. There are also many interesting shapes on the market. In addition to geometric shapes, there are some shaped like skulls, tiki cups, and unique textures that could only be found in paraffin candles.

While some use their candles for decoration or in the place of a plant holder, there are some that give off a nice scent when lit. Although the slightly sweet aroma of honey is enough, some makers are using eucalyptus, lavender, or rose essential oils. These can heighten the experience, as some users like to create a tranquil environment for meditation or simply rest after a long day.

The great thing about beeswax is that it is safe to use for long periods of time. Since these burn hotter than paraffin these have the potential to clean the air instead of add pollutants that come from the soot. These are becoming a popular choice for households where a member may have respiratory issues.
