Discovering Las Vegas Convention Vendors And Shows

By Miranda Sweeney

A number of conferences, seminars and workshops take place in the city of Las Vegas. When one thinks of Las Vegas Convention Vendors, one does not often think of the vendors having a focused event. Depending on the length, style and type of conference, vending booths are often quite varied when it comes products and services.

One of the best and most fun of these conventions is that related to magic. Jeff McBride, well known magician and founder of the Magic and Mystery School often hosts a convention focused on beginning magic and emerging magicians each year. Vendors at this conference will no doubt be different than those set up at an electronics show though may have some of the same at a science fiction convention.

Before setting up a vending area, there are some things which are good to know. One is to be sure there is enough space for the booth, chairs, staff, standing room, visitors and product. People will not stop when feeling claustrophobic. Another, is to provide a pleasant greeting upon the initial approach into the area. Otherwise, individuals will simply walk by without stopping, or merely grab a few freebies along the way.

One of the most important things about a booth is the individual or individuals monitoring the booth and answering questions. For this reason, it is important to staff the booth with individuals whom are knowledgeable in the products or services being offered at the time. When there are two individuals staffing the booth at all times, it is easier to take breaks and lunch hours without having to leave the booth.

At other times, new vendors may be confused on what items are offered at different events. When this is the case, it is easy to find out. Simply contact the vending association putting on the show and ask. Otherwise, what might have sold at one event may go unsold at another. It is also good for those planning on vending at future events to visit current booths so as to not duplicate product.

Whether an international, national, regional or local show, it is often good to have a booth. Booths are often used as a way to distribute information as much as product. While there may be a large flow of people through any one show, most pick up business cards in hope of making contact at a later date. When planning a give away, it is good to list any ingredients in food or drink and assure there is enough stock for the event.

As a business grows, so too the number of people involved. Advertising rates in the city of Las Vegas are some of the highest. It is for this reason that business cards and other low cost marketing materials are a good idea. Whether one, or one hundred employees, a company which provides business details to outsiders also provides opportunities to insiders.

Las Vegas provides a great backdrop for a circus, conference, festival, seminar, trade show or other event. Attendees have a variety of different types of entertainment at every corner. Multiple casinos, amusement parks, circus shows, magic shows, musical events and tourist attractions assure this is the case.
