In order for one to become known in business it is important to get the name out so that people know what one is trying to sell. Creating websites will ensure that not only will local people hear about the business but those all around the world as well. It might seem like a gigantic task but if one has time it can be accomplished.

The first thing that needs to be done is to get a domain name. This is a name that will be given to the site and one will have to pay an annual fee in order for that name to be registered. This will also ensure that no one else can use that name besides you. This does not mean that one will be getting a website it is more like having to register a business and does not mean one will be getting a premise with it.

The minimum requirement to run WordPress is having a PHP, which is a popular general purpose scripting language of 5.4 or larger. The other is having a MySQL which is a language for accessing, adding and managing content in databases. It is proven to be quick in processing, easy to use as well as flexible and reliable. This needs to be greater than 5.5 for this program to run smoothly.

If one is considering on having a hyphenated name there can be some good and bad sides to it. It can be very easy to forget that hyphens are added when typing and users might just land up on the opponent's site instead. Truth be told having to type them in is a real pain!

WordPress started in two thousand and three with only a single code which was used to enhance writing. There were so few users that both fingers and toes would be too many. Over the years it has grown to be one of the leading self-hosting blogging tools worldwide. It is used by millions of people every day and on millions of sites as well.

The platform is an underlying structure that is used to create the actual website. Many of them require that one has a good understanding of technical knowledge about CSS and HTML. CSS or Cascading Style Sheets is a language that is used for describing the formatting and looks of a document whereas HTML or HyperText Markup Language is more for achieving colour, fonts, graphics and hyperlink effects.

Designing a website is entirely up to ones imagination. There are many articles that can be read where some ideas can be used such as which appearance to use, the usability as well as the visibility. Many people tend to forget that testing the website is also a crucial part.

If the business is going to sell a product one will need to have a way to collect the credit card information or PayPal. This will need to be very secure otherwise no one will want to use it. There are many sites that will give one a step by step tutorial on how to include this on to the webpage.
